Course Overview:
Welcome to another Academy 4 week course.
This Academy 4 week course has 20 different exercise routines presented as Level 1 Beginner, Level 2 Intermediate, Level 3 Advanced, and Level 4 Expert. There are also 8 yoga classes which do not have levels.
This is Fitness Ahead! Level 2 Intermediate.
We will use some accessories in this course including dumbbells, step platform, pilates ball. Check out links below in right column to order online.
Try these workouts if you have completed the level 1 workouts and feel that you could progress.
This is a great place to start for the average senior or if you have completed the level 1 course. The workouts are medium difficulty, have no floor work, and are 20 minutes long. Make sure to warm up with the standing warm up exercise in the top of the right column.
Then perform the exercise of the day and end with the standing cool down at the top of the right column. As your strength improves you may choose another course or advance to level 3. Glad you are in the Academy and starting to build your strength and stability.
I think Level 2 is the “Goldilocks” level.
The yoga days offer a nice change of pace. I really like and look forward to them!
Finished Level 2 for 3rd time. I enjoy this level because it is right for my injured knee; feels like it”s finally healing. I can do seven fitness laps on the track without getting a sore knee. I plan to repeat it again since I don’t want to risk doing floor work on level 3 at this stage.
